Mining camp layout basics
Mining camps add rotation, dust, water supply and clinic requirements versus construction sites. Layout drives the BOQ and the batch plan.
Typical zoning
Separate worker dorm strips, management dorm, canteen/kitchen, central sanitary, clinic, office and guard at the gate. Haul roads and fire lanes between blocks per local practice or client HSE.
Module ratios (reference)
| Function | Typical vs dorm area | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sanitary | 0.15–0.22 | Central blocks, shift peaks |
| Canteen | 0.12–0.18 | Meal shifts |
| Clinic | Optional 24–60 m²+ | Remote sites |
Phased delivery
First batch: office, guard, partial sanitary. Second: main dorm strips. Third: canteen and clinic if not in batch two. Align with roster move-in dates to limit idle units on site.
Typical specifications for reference only. Final dimensions, materials and quantities per signed drawings and order.
