Project overview

Temporary camp for a multi-site wind farm construction programme with a peak workforce of ~120. The package combines P1 accommodation and welfare blocks with a P4 welded control office that moves as a complete box to the operator's next site.

The three-batch plan was aligned to civil works, turbine erection and commissioning. Permanent roads, foundations and utility mains remained in buyer scope.

Building systems & materials

  • —P1 quick-assembly dormitory, dining and sanitary blocks; P4 welded relocatable control and guard units.
  • —Envelope and corrosion coating selected against signed wind, rainfall and site-corrosion data.
  • —M-PWR supplied as shell only; inverter and switchgear remained in the electrical package.

Site & phasing

Lifting access was reserved for the P4 office and guard units; P1 dormitory rows kept a dismantling face and module marks for the next-site component list.

2Remaining P1 dormitory blocksTurbine erection peak
3Canteen + P4 guard + M-PWR shellFull commissioning camp

Schedule

  • —Batch 1 occupancy preceded the main turbine-delivery window.
  • —Batches 2–3 followed erection and commissioning workforce ramps.
  • —P4 office and guard were lifted complete; P1 rows were dismantled for transfer after commissioning handover.

Constraints & approach

  • —Multi-site reuse: P4 offices and guards selected for repeated whole-box lifting; P1 connections and finishes selected for repeated dismantling.
  • —Milestone risk: office, sanitary and first beds protected in Batch 1.
  • —Exposed site: anchorage and wind design governed by signed project data, not a generic camp assumption.
