Site conditions

Nairobi sits at altitude and stays mild all year, while Mombasa is hot, humid and salt-laden. The same order can serve both, but the envelope should not be identical: highland sites need less cooling and more night insulation, coastal sites need corrosion protection. Long rains from March to May and short rains from October decide the installation window.

Recommended systems

Schools, clinics and emergency shelter use the quick-assembly box because it needs no crane and a small crew can erect it; wider spans take the same box in a larger module, and permanent buildings take the light steel villa. Where the programme crosses a rainy season, the enclosure goes up first so internal work can continue under cover.

From factory to site

Mombasa serves the region, including transit cargo to Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan. Transit bonds and route permits are arranged by your clearing agent; we issue the drawings and the unit schedule the transporter works to, and the crating suits the road leg if you tell us the final destination.

FAQ

Can you supply transit cargo bound for Uganda?

Yes. Mombasa handles transit traffic for the landlocked neighbours. We issue documents for transit; the bond and route permits are handled by your clearing agent. Tell us the final destination at quotation stage so the packing suits the road leg.

Do we need a crane on site?

Not for the quick-assembly box — panels and frames are lifted by hand and bolted, which is why it is used where no crane is available. The welded crane-lift box and multi-storey villas do need lifting equipment.

What happens if installation runs into the rains?

Programme is normally set outside the long rains. If it cannot move, units ship with sealed floor decks and the enclosure is staged first, so internal work continues under cover.

How long from order to shipment?

Specification confirmation takes 1–5 working days and drawing rounds 3–10. Production lead time starts after drawing sign-off and deposit, as set out in the contract.

What warranty comes with the units?

Terms are defined in the sales contract and vary by system and destination. Typical export contracts cover manufacturing defects for an agreed period, excluding site damage or unauthorised modification.
